How Crystroll Started
Crystroll began with a childhood love of trolls combined with an adult love of crystals.
Owner, Hanan, stumbled upon a vintage troll in a toy shop in 2010 that reminded her of her love for troll dolls from childhood.
It was not until a few years later, while Hanan was training as a yoga instructor, when she discovered her love for healing crystals.
Soon after, the idea to make crystal haired trolls came to Hanan in a dream when she was trying to figure out what to do with her life. She was feeling lost and suddenly felt very strongly that her spirit guides were telling her to create crystal trolls. Crystrolls visited Hanan in her dreams many times before she actually decided to make them. Once she finally brought them to life, everything started falling into place.
Crystrolls balance the juxtaposition and unity of past and present.
Hanan has a passion for making these crystal trolls and puts her heart into creating each one--she believes it is part of her life purpose. She smudges the crystals with sage before working with them (to clear previous energy) and uses reiki to charge them with positive energy and loving intentions, which will carry on with the trolls to their new owners.
Her hope is to share the magical healing properties of crystals with others-- Crystroll lets her do this in a fun way!
behind the scenes
Crystroll is a very small business (run entirely by me alone). It is truly a labor of love and I put time and effort into bringing each troll/pony to life. Each item is made to order as each order is placed. I do not have shelves of ready made Crystrolls that I can send out as soon as you place your order, but rather I create your order specifically for you. I say that it takes one to two weeks to make your order, depending on how many orders are ahead of you. There is a lot that goes into running Crystroll other than building crystal haired trolls---from searching for new products, to photographing and editing pictures, responding to emails, running social media and designing/maintaining this website, to packaging orders and making daily trips to the post office. I am also an elementary school teacher, so I work on your orders after I get home from my day job. If you could not already tell, I am a capricorn (aka a workaholic). :)
I do my best to get your orders made as quickly as I can, but please have patience with me.

shipping + returns

Once made, shipping in the US generally takes 3-5 days, while shipping to other countries can take 1-8 weeks.
International delivery time and additional custom fees depends on each country's custom rules and is entirely out of my control.
Buyers are responsible for any customs and import taxes that may apply.
Because each order is custom made for you once you place your order, we do not currently offer returns.
If you have any issues with your item when it arrives, please contact me and we can try to resolve it for you.

The cool thing about our products is that they are recycled and repurposed from vintage toys, which is great for the environment.
Because of this, some of our trolls or ponies may have minor flaws due to having been played with by children in the 80s and 90s.
Also, because each one is made to order, crystal hair can vary from one to the next. No two will look exactly the same, making each one special and unique. The shape of your troll's hair also depends on the quartz available to me at the time of your order. Sometimes our crystal supplier sends us thick + chunky pieces, while other times they are thinner pieces.
I do my best to create with what is available to me.

Quartz is a powerful healing tool, and is often used during meditation. Quartz has the ability to be programmed with your intentions, and this makes it a powerful stone to use to assist you in manifesting the things you desire. If you have a cluster of quartz in your vicinity, it will amplify its healing attributes out into the room where it is located.

caring for your crystroll

Crystrolls are fragile--please handle with care. They can be top heavy due to their crystal hair. When displaying, it is best to lean your troll up against something to prevent it from falling over, if something should bump into it. Museum putty can be added to their feet to tightly secure them in place. Please keep out of water, heat + direct sunlight.
We recommend smudging your crystal's hair to clear/cleanse it from any negative energies and to create a sense of peace and harmony in your troll.

To smudge your Crystroll, carefully light sage or palo santo and fan gently with your hand to smolder and give off smoke. Set your intentions to help clear the previous energy. Slowly pass your troll's hair through the smoke. Enjoy the positive energy that will amplifly into the space with you.
